It gives us great pleasure to welcome you all to the MercedesTrophy Kuwait National Final 2014 to be held at Sahara Golf & Country Club Kuwait on March 14. The MercedesTrophy has a long and successful history in Kuwait and this year we are organizing the 17th edition of this tournament – MercedesTrophy Kuwait National Final.

Mercedes-Benz's involvement in international golf is a key component of the brand's international sports sponsorship activities. The image dimensions of this sport are a perfect match for the values espoused by our premium automotive brand. Mercedes‑Benz has been active in amateur golf since 1989. The MercedesTrophy is a dedicated tournament series for amateurs in which more than 65,000 players tee-off each year in more than 60 countries or regions. The contestants aim to reach the World Final in which the best individual players and the best team are decided in Stuttgart.

Some 33 teams from around the world, each with three players, travel to the “birthplace of the automobile” for the World Final to decide the year's top national team and best individual player.

Kuwait National Final winners represent Team Kuwait at Stuttgart for the World Final and this year again the top three golfers (Mercedes-Benz customers) will get a chance to go to Germany and enjoy Mercedes-Benz hospitality.

In general, the MercedesTrophy World Final is an “once-in-a-lifetime” experience. In celebration of the 25th MercedesTrophy anniversary this rule will be suspended exclusively for 2014 so that former participants can qualify as well. But please note that only Mercedes-Benz customers are allowed to participate in the MercedesTrophy World Final.

In addition, we are very pleased to offer the participants the opportunity to take part in the special competition “Drive to the Major” played during the MercedesTrophy tournaments all over the world. All participants get the unique chance to win a spot in the Monday After Event played directly after The Open Championship on the same course where all golf professionals have played the day before for the Claret Jug!
