Set the cam with correct date and time |
In this beta version, the raceQs replay engine uses the hard copy of the video stored on your hard drive to make the geo-fused replay. So, in order to share it, you must use a program like “screencast” to record you screen, and upload the video to youtube. In later versions, the action video will be stored on youtube for simpler sharing. |
I have an action video that I would like to synchronize. Can I do that? |
You can sync your video with a GPS track recorded in on your regular boat gps, as long as you had the date and time set properly in your camera. |
Will this work on my iPad or my Mac? |
The beta version only works on Windows-based computers. It doesn't work on tablets, phones, or Macintosh computers. |
The video and GPS are not matching up, so my action video looks out of syn with the GPS replay. How do I fix this? |
If it was on the same day, you can change the video “offset” by adjusting the time difference between the replay time stamp, and the video stamp. Timing on GPS is correct. Video time must match. If it's just a litle off, you can use the offset fucntion. If it's off by a lot. |
How you do recommend syncing the camera with the GPS? |
GPS cameras, if the GPS featured is enabled in these cameras, it auto sets the timing. Phone enabled camera, then phone Iphone syncronization with footage. If you have one of these two things enabled, it's pretty accurate. Hard to set it up manually to be exactly right on. That's why we have the offset function. Easiest way is to film the time on the phone app screen for the first few seconds so that you can make sure the offset is correct. Make sure that you record the time with seconds so that you can adjust the offset function so that they line up. |
